Does your child have his own seat on the plane and is between 10 and 20 kg? Then use the CARES 5 point harness for a safe seat. CARES stands for the Children's Aircraft Safety System. The 5 point harness offers the same safety as a car seat with the ECE R44 / 04 certificate. Unfortunately, the lap belt offers little to no safety in emergency situations. The child cannot withstand the shocks of turbulence and can easily slip out of the lap belt.

Your child will be much calmer with this 5 point belt than a lap belt. In the car seat, the 5 point belt is also used and here the child knows that he is securely fastened and difficult to get out. On the plane, everyone gets a lap belt as standard. The CARES provides the only way to really properly secure your child in an airplane seat.
