Carrycot mounting in the car

You place the Jané car travel crib across the width of the back seat. There is a car seat belt buckle on the front and back of the car cot. You use the two car seat belts of the back seat and attach them to the car seat belt buckle of the carrycot (Of course, it is also possible to use the isofix). The Isofix can only be used with the Jane Matrix Light 2. An adult or a second car seat will always fit next to the carrycot.

Always place the foot end of the carrycot against the door. Check the middle belt whether it starts more on the left side of the back seat or on the right side (steering side). If it starts more on the right side, place the foot end of the carrycot towards the left door. This will ensure that you can tighten the carrycot. The middle belt should now hang at the height of the carrycot head end.

Important information

Two car seat belts are always required for mounting Jané car beds. For your child's safety, always position the baby's head as far away from the car doors as possible. So the child's head is in the middle of the back seat and the legs are toward the door. Also make sure that there are no loose objects on the rear shelf or next to the baby! Otherwise, these could pose a danger to your baby in the event of sudden braking or possible collisions.

Extra space

The travel cribs are made so that a car seat or adult will always fit next to them. It does not matter what brand of car seat you use. If you have arrived at your vacation destination and will be taking short trips, it is wise to rent or purchase the carrycot combi (Jané Matrix Light 2). This carrycot can be easily converted into a car seat. This way you can sit next to your baby yourself and easily take care of him/her. In any case, with the Jané Matrix Light 2 you never have to carry an extra car seat!

Sleeping safely

Although the carrycot is also excellent for use as a travel crib and/or camp bed, it is still recommended that the carrycot not be used as a crib for extended periods of time. In this case, no longer than the entire vacation period. Always follow - also during your vacation - the advice for "safe sleeping" from your child's health agency.
